My family eats here frequently, and their pizza is exceptional. The service has always been courteous and kind.

Unfortunately, we ate here tonight, my husband got an Italian combo, he ate the lasagna last. There was a long, stiff black hair cooked into it. The staff was nonchalant & was "going to charge half" since he had eaten the other combo item & a quick sorry. Are they serious? They didn't act shocked about the hair, must be common practice here. We've been coming here since the 70's when it was Mars & the food has declined. We have been coming for traditions sake, but no more! There is no mgr working, just young girls without customer service skills. They were calling the owner to take off the other $6 after I voiced my opinion of how it was handled. After 5 min we just paid the entire bill and left due to my husbands nausea & out of principle since they were treating us like we put the hair in the lasagna. My salmon tasted like it had been frozen over & over. Yet I didn't complain. A huge animal looking hair in our food? Yes, we complained. This place is disgusting now.

The food was good & portions were good. I was stuffed when I left. The service was pretty good too.

Monte's is about a mile north of Wilson State Park and next door to Deer Trail Motel. We've always had good food and service and have no idea what the other reviewers are talking about. The decor is Country Kitchen Cute, and they make pizza and subs, some Italian dishes, that sort of a menu. Both my husband and I are fond of the Big Monte sandwich, big enough to share or for a second meal the next day. They also make a good eggplant parmesan. As with most eateries in and around Harrison, it's a good value for the money.

Agreed with the other review this place is a dive in my opinion. Service was terrible and I only gave it a 1 star rating because I could give it a negative rating. Stay far away from this restaurant.

I have ate at this resturant in the past everytime I go it got worse. finally I had to quit going. I found hair in my food, the service was terrible and the food was burnt. there are much better places to eat in town I wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone.

monties was one of the best finds in harrison Italian food as good as any down state we have never been the least bit disappointed food is homemade (including the breads) service is extra family friendly prices are very good . don't be fooled by its size or low ceilings . totally family .did i mention i liked the place jerry
