If you need a septic inspection, avoid a conflict of interest from hiring inspectors that also install leach fields and septic tanks. Mr. Marshall has no 'conflict of interest' that like so many, only sees your inspection as a potential leach field and/or septic tank job for many $1000s. I found him honest, highly experienced, timely, reasonable and helpful in all regards to his septic system inspection.. And by the way, there is no such thing as 'pass, fail and conditional pass' in NY.. Other states yes, but it's simply an evaluation in NY when you need an inspection for a real estate transaction... There is no pass or fail. Your only obligation legally on your Purchase contract is typically to supply all systems in 'working order'.
