Amazing food would totally recommend you can tell everything’s fresh the staff is friendly
Great authentic Italian old school. It’s excellent always. I love the manicotti... and I add sautéed mushrooms sometimes. Fish Fry is consistent and delicious. My friends tell me the Sicilian style pizza is worth every penny. Our son thinks their Eppie Roll can’t be beat. Like this place a lot. On Camp Rd for 25 years. Wish more people knew about this place. Family owned and operated daily.
Had a hankering for lasagna and sausage. Decided to give the restaurant a try. Looked like I was the first customer for the evening dinner service. The dinner took awhile to arrive, but in this world of microwave in minutes, good meals need to be baked, not rushed. I enjoyed the meal immensely. Only issue I had is safely leaving the parking lot back to the higheay, where traffic was zooming by.
I will never go to this restaurant again and I will tell everyone who will listen to me not to go either! I ordered their personal pizza with pepperoni to go. When I got home and opened it the pizza was about 2 to 3 inches in diameter bigger than the diameter of the box. The result was that in stead of a flat pizza I had one that looked like a funnel with the crust pushed all the way to the top of the box all the way around because the box was too small. As a result all of the cheese and pepperoni slid into the middle of the pizza plus the bottom was burned. I called them back and explained what was wrong and they apologized and said they would make another one for me. I went and picked it up and I noticed that it was being served in the same sized box. I opened it and it was the same thing all over agin. The crust was pushed up all the way aroiund again because again the box was too small and all the cheese and peperoni was pushed to the middle again. I pointed this out to the woman who gave me the pizza and her replay was, "What you don't like crust?". I pointed out there was almost 3 inches of crust because all the cheese and pepperoni slid to the middle. She then told me that they make their personal pizzas bigger than most place and thats why that happens. I gave up and said nevermind as I walked out of the restaurant. As I was pulling out my wife pointed out one of the cools came out and was yelling towards us. I rolled down my window and started yelling at me in a very aggressive tone. He as asked what was wrong with me anf if I'm so dissatisfied why would I be taking the pizza with me. I said you're right and I threw the pizza on the ground in the parking lot and drove away. I will never frequent or go back to a restaurant that treats their customers like this. DO NOT GO HERE TO EAT!
I really like this restaurant.. I order the same thing every time..cavatelli not baked and I am satisfied each time.. I have had other things and like them too...the service can be abit spotty from time to time..they are always apologetic but I have to say we have almost walked out once or twice but we do keep coming back because those are isolated incidents and I enjoy the food. I think if they just tighten up their service they would do alot better. No one is ever rude, it is just the length of time to get a menu, get drinks etc. hope this helps!

Not only the atmosphere of this resturant which includes a wonderful dinning experiance based on the amount of time this familly dvotes to each customer. But the food here has got to be the best around. There are many other "italian themed" resturants in the hamburg area you can eat at but this is the one and only authentic one. Each meal is made there, you can taste the freashness in each bite. I have been here many times and love telling people about my experiances here and just how great this little resturant is. - Brad S
My husband and I went there for dinner today and im so distusted with the service and the food.We paid $49 on the dinner I ordered french onion soup and it was horrible. How do you mess up french onion soup? I also ordered chicken cord on blue and it was the worst meal i have ever had. My husband orderd the chicken alfredo and it was tastless. We were the only ones there when we arrived and we ordered and about 15 min. later a man came in then 10 min. later another couple came in by the time all of them were done eating we finally got our food an hour after we ordered and there was a total of 5 people in the place so they were not busy!!!!!!! I should of just thrown $50 out the window because we didnt even eat the food was that bad. I will never go back even if they paid me and i will tell everyone about my experance at this resturant.

Yes it's true, I have given my seal of approval on this one. Overly generous portions are par for the course here. Personally, I get the gnocci (N-YO-KI, say it right these guys are off the boat and will run you over with their motorcycles otherwise) with alfredo and cheese and aside from the 4,000 calories it is fit for a king. ohhhhh!

L Isola D Oro's is a very cute, family owned, Italian restaurant. The servers are very friendly and the food is excellent. Also, expect large portions!
