      Utilities is a public service agency that works under the government of Griffin, Ga. Its services include commercial energy analysis, preconstruction planning and security lightening program. The agency works to establish programs to address infrastructure problems, provide leadership through the implementation of best management practices and improve quality of life for citizens. Utilities operates a stormwater department that is responsible for maintaining the drainage infrastructure, including cleaning storm drain pipes and ditches, repairing curbs and gutters and operating street sweepers. It additionally oversees capital improvement projects such as regional detention pond construction and large sewer replacements. The agency supports a management program that handles the collection and treatment of wastewater through the development of capacity, management, operations and maintenance programs.
