Great service ,showed up on time .They where very careful with my furniture ,they wrap everything so as not to damage anything .They where very courteous and professional .I would recommend them to anyone

I hired Best Value Movers to move me from Devens, MA to Washington DC they were fantastic. The move date wasn't set in stone and I was still able to book ahead of time and inform them of the date a few days before. Grant was very lenient with booking and really helped me out a lot while trying to close on my new house. I'm in the military so I do move around more than most people, they are by far the best company I've worked with. On time, careful, and very pleasant attitudes I would definitely recommend using them.

Absolute horrible experience, never trust grant Williams. He does not use the truck on the website and charged extra on everything ( 6$ for a roll of tape just because they open it for you ). The movers themselves did a good job but had to apologize over and over because of the type of company grant runs. I would not recommend this company and would advise anybody to call somebody else. Plus he doesn't have real storage, I'm told he kept stuff in a barn owned by his wife's parents and also at his mothers house. Stay away

BEWARE. If you seek a company that will cram your household furnishings into a TINY UHAUL by two movers who arrive six hours late, and then be jerked around with promises for two months about items that were damaged (due to the cramming) then Grant is your guy.

Grant Williams is the owner and he is the problem.

On September 24th Best Value Movers arrived to move my household from Lowell to Salem. When I set up the contract, I had been asked - by Grant -- a VERY brief set of questions about the large furniture I had to move, which was to estimate the time it would take, and I answered those.

Grant's website boasts a large moving truck which he does not own and experienced, professional movers, which he haphazardly dispatches in several states.

The two movers arrived with a very small U-Haul and said there was no way they could fit everything. They spent the first 45 minutes (@ their hourly rate of $109) sorting out what to do and trying to contact their boss (Grant) who was not calling them back. The workers mentioned that this had happened before (being sent with too small of a truck) and that Grant was not good about answering or returning phone calls.

The movers finally said they would try to fit it all in the truck in one load.

The movers did a good job but it took MUCH longer because of all the time it took for them to decide what to do and them to fit stuff in the truck.

The next day I discovered several items were damaged. The finish was scratched badly on my antique table and a rare antique dentist cabinet.

I must have called Grant 30 times since then. He has NEVER called me back. Still I remained patient and reasonable, continued to contact him, sent him pictures, and was willing to help arrive at a fair way to get my items repaired. When I could get a hold of him he would be evasive and stall for time, saying he needed to "look up my records" and then dropping the call and not answering when I tried back. When I would catch him again he reassured me repeatedly saying things like "we want to take care of this for you." He promised me over and over again that he would, but each time he said he would be back in touch and then... nothing.

Today, because as it turns out he actually is operating without a spine, he passed me off to a secretary who told me that I had not submitted the pictures soon enough (I made the claim less than 24 hours after the move).

Then Grant sent forms I had signed when the movers arrived (I was told this was just to approve one trip instead of two) that had been altered after the fact and called me negligent for not reading them before I signed them.

Another reviewer on another site complained about a similar circumstance and I think by using small trucks - he does not own the truck on the website -- and planning poorly he tries to pad the hours by charging for double trips and extra packing time.

Plus he is just weasel to deal with.

Oh yeah and the *8% fee* to use your credit card because you never imagined you would need so much cash on hand!!!

I'm taking them to small claims court.

Complete nightmare! Run from this company, run from James Cole! Had my stuff in storage, and wasn't able to get a hold of anyone to get my stuff back. I sent James emails, voice mail was always full. James charged my credit card for the full following month, despite a contract stating would be pro rated ( literally went over three days). James told me if I didn't given him hundreds of extra dollars he would put my stuff out in the streets at the storage facility. This was also different from our contract regarding hourly minimum and payment options. My 11:00am appt showed up at 6:00pm.
