We moved to the Gillette area recently and I always dread the thought of trying to find a new stylist to deal with my naturally curly hair. :o( Read the reviews on Boardwalk and of Jan's skills with my type of hair and decided to give them a try. So glad I did!! I LOVE my new haircut (one of the best I've had in my life!) and will definitely be a returning client. Their atmosphere is trendy and relaxing and their prices are fair.

I am a hairdresser, that was going over reviews on salons in Gillette. When I came across the comment made by anonymous on July 10, 2011 the lady complained that her hair was turned strawberry blonde, she said she picked a dark brown color and her hair was already medium dark. How does this even make sense? It's impossible for your hair to turn strawberry blonde when you are depositing color. To deposit a dark brown, onto a medium brown you would only use a ten volume developer which is only capable of one level. Sounds to me like whoever wrote the review below mine has a person issue with the salon. Sincerly, Somone who actually knows what they are talking about :)

Recent hair coloring and cut done at this salon. Color chosen for coloring was med to dark brown ended up strawberry blonde-stylist excuse was that hair does not always take the color-normal hair color and color at that time already med brown-had to do 2 different toners to get brassiness and red out of hair. Will not return. Staff was friendly but very disappointed in hair service.

Nicole is first rate, super professional, highly recommend!!!
