      Challenged Child & Friends is a private, nonprofit agency that provides nursing, therapeutic, educational and family counseling services. It offers a range of services, such as developmental evaluations, infant stimulation and special instruction, special education, and physical, occupational and speech therapies. The agency also offers a range of other services that includes family support, counseling and parent education, health and nursing and extended day services. It has a staff of registered and practical nurses, family counselors, paraprofessionals, certified teachers and therapists. In addition, the agency organizes a variety of fundraising events that include scholarship campaigns, fishing tournaments, motorcycle rides, music events and holiday cards. Challenged Child & Friends, established in 1983, is located in Gainesville, Ga.
