The organization manages the United States Army Medical Research and Materiel Command. Fort Detrick serves defense, agriculture, homeland security, and health and human services departments in the United States. The organization manages National Cancer Institute at Frederick, which investigates the genetic, molecular, environmental and behavioral factors that contribute to human cancers. Fort Detrick operates a toastmasters club.
