I am on here again! I went to Simply Mac to get a new battery for my phone, not because it was bad, but because Apple was allowing new battery replacements for $29. I went in to drop it off to be fixed and they said they were going to have to charge me a $19.99 diagnostic check on top of the $29 Apple battery replacement fee. But I had no problem that needed to be diagnosed. Everything worked fine. I just wanted my entitled battery. Then they told me it would take about a MONTH AND A HALF to swap out the battery on my phone! And then they had the nerve, TWICE, to say "You know you can always upgrade!" I brought my son along because his battery on his iPhone WAS definitely bad but since we were scammed by Simply Mac, we went to Celltronix and they put a new battery in his phone in less than 30 minutes and for only $40! I've written Apple about the awful "warranty" battery support that we did not get and I told them to check out Yelp and see all of the terrible 1 star reviews that they've received. With knowing that Simply Mac is the only Apple support in Fort Wayne, for now, and knowing that they are absolutely worthless, we both decided to get new phones that night and sell our used iPhones. We are now switched over to Android and much happier. And Apple will know that we are just a couple, out of many thousands and thousands of people that are switching back to Android. This time, for us, the issue was Simply Mac. Not providing a warranty fix on both of our phones, wanting to charge diagnostic fees that are not part of the warranty requirements per Apple's website documentation, and then not even stocking Apple batteries and telling me that it would take a month and a half to do something that Celltronix did in less than 30 minutes. I am very happy with the new Android operating system. It's come a long way! But I still do own a new MacBook Pro, and if I ever have to get something fixed on it, I guess I'll be driving to Indy!!
