My first visit there and the service was awesome Great job ladies..my yorkie looking good smelling good and feeling good..well kept place it's clean and doesn't smell
I took my dogs to Smart Dogs Grooming and they did a great job on both of my dogs! I have a standard schnauzer and an Irish Wolf hound mix. Both dogs require different cuts and both dogs looked great! They also told me they do cats, so I took my cat there and they did a "lion" cut on her. Very cute cut! The people that work there were all very friendly and the place was clean! Will continue to take my dogs there!
I took my dog there a few times. The last time, I got a call to pick her up because she couldn't finish her. I also had to pay an extra fee because she wouldn't sit still. When I got there, they had finished her to what they felt was the best of their ability, which wasn't good at all. I have now started taking her to another groomer who has had zero problems with grooming her and does it in a decent amount of time and is less expensive. I feel so bad that I put my dog through the experience of this place.
I have been going to this groomer for over a year. Smart dogs is women/ Veteran owned. Every time I have been there they have been caring and kind for my Holly Belle. They treat dogs as if they were the owners children. Because to many of us our pets are like our children. They have been gentle with her each time they have had her. She behaves well and is very friendly towards about any person. The environment is clean in the store, the boutique is cute and has many products. The back area is visible and clean down to the pets are in cages to be dried in a well lite and open area. I have been to groomers that are now closed, they kept the dogs in semi dark rooms out of view so you could not see your baby, the building did not look well, and the place was a mess. Smart Dogs is so great, they even let you pick out of a mug for a free item next time you visit. The used to have a hole punch card with the last one for a free bath . I do reccoment coming here. I have to friends and they love it as well.
I came to this place because of some reviews I read and they are down the street. My dog had some mats in his hair and I discussed this with Amanda. I told her I did not want any of his hair cut and to call me if there was an issue. So I get a call saying he ready and WTF they cut the areas where the mats were and didn't even call. What is so hard about following directions? Then as I explain this to her I hear the black lady in the back go HMMPH! Just give him his money back. Great a free haircut that I didn't want. I am LIVID! My dog looks like some teenage kids took out hair clippers and had fun or better yet like there is some kind of disease around his legs because hair is missing. The words and kindness were ok but you DON'T perform any service that is not asked for especially when you were SPECIFICALLY told. Good luck to any future customers. I guess I will just drive further whenever his hair grows back!!!!!"
I took my dog there and at first I thought they were great. But on my second visit they said my Toby fell off the table and that's why he had scratches on his tummy. I don't think a dog should ever fall off the table. My daughter took her dog there and they cut his ear very badly. They took a chunk out of it! I will not be taking my dog back there!!
TERRIBLE GROOMING!!! I took my shih tzu there and they kept her for 6 hours. Her cut was all choppy around the face and her tail was cut and thinned. It took a year to get her full tail back! Took my 2nd dog there for a bath and to get winter coat off. After 9.....yes 9.....hours I finally got her back. She still had her winter coat and KNOTS behind her ears! And for this we paid $50.00. Brought her home and had to cut the knots out from behind her ears ourselves. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER ..................take my pets there again!
I've been going here for a couple of years now. The service is second to none and I know that my dogs will be comfortable while they are being groomed and drying. I've had no complaints and would recommend Smart Dogs to anyone.
I like Smart Dogs. Peggy is very patient and sweet.
I took my Shi tzu there for a haircut and grooming. They totally screwed up the haircut. She looks terrible. They didn't pluck her ears, or even clean them for that matter. There were still matted clumps in the hair on her belly. They left clipper burns on her lower belly where they shaved her privates. Her nails were clipped wrong and they got the quick on several. And they Charged me $50! I now have to take her somewhere else and have their screwup fixed!
Although it is the policy of Smart Dogs and Pet Lovers Boutique to do our best to groom each pet to the satisfaction of each customer, we realize that every customer may not be satisfied. For those customers who are not satisfied we make every effort to address any greivances that they may have. In response to this customer's review, the groomer has explained to management that the customer was informed that his "baby" had a reaction to having the sanitary area shaved, and that she had cleaned as much hair ouf of the ears as she possibly could. It is not our purpose to get into a debate with a customer, however, it is our goal that every customer is satisfied with the service we offer. As a result of this customer's review efforts were extended to the customer to address, correct and satisfy the customer's complain. Again, the Management and Groomers at Smart Dogs and Pet Lovers Boutique make every effort to give the best service possible to it's customers. We truly try to uphold our motto of "We Keep Your Pet's Looking Good" The managagement again extends the opportunity to this customer to satisfy any complaints.
I have been taking my dog to Smart Dogs for over a year. I had a bad experience with the last groomer and was very skeptical about where to take my dog. I passed by Smart Dogs one day and decided to give them a try. I have not regretted my decision at all. Actually, I have referred 3 other people. They strive to give quality service and make the experience good for you and your dog. I love the boutique atmosphere and the offering of specialty items for purchase. I highly recommend Smart Dogs!
I was referred by a family friend and was extremely pleased at how friendly and helpful Peggy was on my first visit. I will definitely be back. She was extremely caring and takes a lot of pride in her work. I cannot believe I had not checked into Smart Dogs before. I drive by the address daily and always thought they would be too expensive, and not at all friendly. Boy was I mistaken. I feel like a fool for not checking them out before. Great Service! Extremely Friendly Staff! Very Affordable! Pet's smart you have lost a customer forever.

Had the best experience with my dog at Smart Dog! Very kind staff, they get to know your dog, and any special needs it has each time because one visit may require different services from the last time. They have a variety of shampoos/conditioners to meet your dogs needs. I had no idea that grooming was more than a simple bath and brush! They are affordable and competitive to the area as well. I would definitely recommend them and continue to support a local small business as well! Thank you!

I recently took my two Shih-tzus to Smart Dogs, and was very impressed and satisfied with the overall atmosphere, the professionalism, and most of all, the appearance of my pups when I picked them up. Until Smart Dogs, I was accustomed to picking my dog up and seeing that he had been quickly shaved and looking nothing like I'd requested when I dropped him off. At Smart Dogs, I knew what both of my dogs would look like because she took me in back and allowed me to determine the length of their hair and the type of cut I wanted for them.
I will continue to take my pups there, I'm actually getting ready to call and schedule an appointment now.
Peggy is great and did a great job with my sheltie. I'm very happy.
Today was the first time going to Smart Dogs...it is perfectly named because smart dogs would flock to see Peggy and be pampered by her! I felt right at home the moment that I walked in the door as if I had been bring my pugs, Martini & Merlot and both of my daughter's dogs Goose (schitzu) and Peter Cozy (yorkie) for years. A thumbs up and XOXOXO for Smart Dogs Grooming and Spa!

Very friendly service and they treat your puppy like (s)he is their own! The shop also has wonderful items for purchase to help you spoil your fur kids!
