      Forest Hills Elementary School is operated by the Florence City Schools and is located in Florence, Ala. It enrolls more than 600 students in grades kindergarten through four. The school has more than 40 classrooms, a library media center, gymnasium, auditorium, multipurpose building, playgrounds and a cafeteria. Its curriculum includes social studies, mathematics, special education, arts, music, writing process, grammar, reading comprehension, spelling, literature and speaking. It offers a variety of activities, including jump rope for heart, show choir, book fairs, red ribbon week activities, read across America activities, student of the month recognition, book character parades and monthly flag ceremonies. Forest Hills Elementary School additionally offers meal services to students. The school has a parent involvement to increase awareness in curriculum by enhancing proper communication between home and school.
