Established in 1998, The Elizabeth House is a 15-plus-bed inpatient facility. It provides inpatient hospice care services in a home-like environment. The house serves patients who are suffering from chronic and terminal illnesses. The Elizabeth House is a part of Four Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care, which is a nonprofit organization that is located in Flat Rock, N.C. Four Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care was incorporated in 1979 as Hospice of Henderson County. It is a Medicare- and Medicaid-certified hospice provider that has served more than 7000 patients. The organization offers hospice and palliative care services to private homes, hospitals, and nursing and assisted living facilities. Four Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care supports people with congestive heart failure, stroke, cancer, dementia, and Parkinson s, Alzheimer s, kidney and chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases.
