General Info

The church of Christ in the Piedmont is a family of Christians who are striving to follow Jesus with all of our heart, soul, strength, and mind. We are not a part of any denomination. We are simply Christians, genuinely trying to be what God wants us to be and imitate Christ s ways. We are far from being perfect or always right but we are striving to take God at his Word and simply obey Him. We have no creed book except the Bible. We believe that the New Testament is our authority in religious matters. Therefore we strive to speak where the Bible speaks, and be silent where the Bible is silent. We care about people! Buildings, budgets, and denominational traditions take a back seat to the great social and spiritual needs that we see in Virginia, the Piedmont, and the Farmville area. Nobody can make it through this life on their own. With God s help we are striving to strengthen families and marriages; to encourage parents and children; and to help heal broken homes and hearts.

Services/Products

We meet at the Piedmont address twice Sunday and once Wednesday for God honoring worship and praise, diligent Bible study, and encouraging fellowship with one another. All are welcome to attend! We also offer the community quarterly clothing giveaway events, a small limited-use pantry, as well as hosting annual community events.

Location

We are located just north of downtown Farmville on Main Street/HWY 45; about a mile from the Appomattox River or a mile and a half from Longwood University. Look for a big log cross with a crown over the top on the left side of the street as you head out
