Farmington Parks and Recreation of Farmington, N.M., is governed by the city s parks, recreation, and cultural affairs department. It is responsible for the maintenance of more than 75 parks in the city, and hosts various events and activities, such as family picnics, reunions, sports, musical concerts and church meetings. It provides a wide range of amenities and services to community, such as aquatic and civic centers, swimming pool, golf courses, Brookside pool, basketball and tennis courts, picnic areas, football, soccer and softball fields, and parking lots. Farmington Parks and Recreation has a senior center that provides a wide range of activities and programs, such as painting class, bingo, woodcarving, ceramics, paper crafting, exercise, dance and music band.
