Ladds farm Supply raised the price of their rabbit and chicken feed by about $3.75 for a 50lb bag. I was shocked at such a high jump in the price and asked why. I was told it was because of the "drought out west" and that "all grain was going up!" Everyone should know that this store is raising the price so they can take advantage of an excuse people will believe. Our family runs a very large corn farm in the Midwest, and yes there has been a very bad drought, but prices will not go up until this years poor crops have been harvested and sold! The feed supply will be affected then, not now! I am sad to see a farm supply store treat customers this way... most farmers do good to just break even, we really do not need feed stores to take advantage like this, the animals are the ones that suffer that need the feed!
