- Child AbuseRoad rage cases, driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol with an accident that causes death, careless driving resulting in death, first-degree murder, second-degree murder, child abuse resulting in death cases. All of these are aggravated charges and should be taken seriously when considering your representation.

- Sex CrimesSex cases include sexual assault on a child, sexual assault on an adult either through drugging the victim or with force, internet luring or communicating with an underage person on the internet and soliciting sex, possession and/or distribution of child pornography, sexual exploitation of a child, prostitution, or solicitation.

Some assault cases are designated as “Crimes of Violence.” Don’t fight these charges on your own. A “Crime of Violence” requires mandatory prison time and you must serve a majority of the time.
- Drug CrimesGun charges can be misdemeanor-level offenses or very serious felony charges. Weapons and gun charges often accompany serious felony charges and can aggravate both assaults and drug cases. You need an attorney if you have been charged with an offense involving weapons or guns.

- Restraining OrderRestraining orders can be civil or criminal. A civil restraining order is called a Protection Order and they are procured in County Court. A civil protection order can be temporary or permanent. Every criminal case requires a Mandatory Protection Order that is designed to protect victims and witnesses in criminal cases. Violating these is a separate crime.
