Private Sewer and Water is THE BEST. For many years it has provided us (100y/o+ house) with excellent work and perfect customer service. Has never failed! Thank You Ron!!

Ron and his crew were very prompt at 8 AM on a Saturday. They were extremely professional and knowledgeable. I'm a bit overbearing with my extensive questions, but Ron was able to quickly and easily explain everything I asked about. In the future, for any plumbing work I have, I'm calling them first. Thank you for everything!

They are very nice, clean, and up front about what they need to do and why. The pricing is not that bad since they will give you all the information and no sales pressure to do the job, and they can do it right then! No more waiting.

We called them to look into backup from a washing machine, resulting in standing water in basement and garage. We were very impressed with the responsiveness, quality of service, and pricing. A few things to point out:



- We called them at night and Ron consulted us through the problem and we all determined that it was not an emergency, could wait until the next day and didn't justify us paying overtime to fix immediately.



- They responded timely and confirmed the appointment the next day.



- Most important, they were very thorough in diagnosing the problem and getting rid of the excess water. They explained the problem in a way that we could make informed decisions.



- Finally, I thought their pricing was very affordable, fair, and accurately reflected the work performed by the onsite plumber.



I'm not saying that I'm hoping for plumbing issues in the future, but I would not hesitate to use Private Sewer and Water going forward and I strongly recommend them!

They know what they're doing! Ron is a great guy, they are not cheap but they did a great job. Will use again.

I find it super stressful to hire contractors, especially for a major repair, but these guys were professional, friendly, and easy to work with. When I needed to make a change to the repair schedule, they were more than accomodating.



Also, if you are having MAJOR plumbing done, such as underground pipe repair, this company is better equipped than most anyone else who quoted my job. Some of the plumbers who came out to our house wanted to destroy our porch and our entire yard. Ron was great to work with and the job was done in 2 days without MAJOR destruction!! You know how it feels when you have to spend alot of money on something that doesn't show? Well in this case it was worth every cent ! Ron Janis and his guys were fast, clean hard working, joked with us and at the end, came back and cleaned everything better than it was when they arrived. They sound like boy scouts don't they?

A sewage problem that had been going on for years unknown to us was dug up, repaired and with concrete sidewalk replaced in 2 days! Wow!

Anyway......awesome!

I don't write too many reviews but finding a good plumber you can use for life is impossible so I felt I should post this. I have gone through a half dozen and I'm happy to say I finally found the Company I can count on and use as long as I live in Chicago land! Recommended by a friend, I have used Private Sewer & Water on several occasions and all of the anxiety is out the window. I would trust these guys to do work when I'm not there, it is done right the first time, everything is explained to you, they are realistic about what can and can't be done, and their prices are competitive. I have gone the 'cheap' route several times and it does not work. I have the 'redo' bills and water damage to prove it. Stop reading, call them if you need some work done.

I wanted to leave a 5 star rating because they turned a bad plumbing experience around quickly and provided me with a great service and fixed a broken water pipe in my home at 10:30pm!



I was stood up by another plumbing company when i was in need of emergency service while other companies wouldn't provide service until the next business day. I couldn't wait as I had water flooding my basement and Ron came to my rescue within 45 mins of my call! Also want to mention Ron was incredibly friendly and helpful with instructions on how to shut off the water in my home to prevent any further water damage.

From the first second, I called these guys were so amazing! I was trying to explain that I didn't know what was wrong just they we some kind of water leak. They were extremely patient with me and agreed to head to my building and wait for me.



They arrived quickly and were so easy to work with. Ron and another plumber investigated the problem, they explained everything to us. They fixed the problem and then tripled checked it!



The whole time they were completely professional, extremely friendly and made me feel like it really was no big deal.I put their number in my phone as my go to guys for ALL plumbing related issues in our building.

These guys were super fast--got someone to me within a few hours of calling. The service men were VERY efficient, knowledgable, friendly, and hardworking. Very highly recommended! Ron was a joy to work with.

Faced with a sewer line that sheared off and water pouring through the basement wall I called around a number of plumbing companies for an emergency repair. Within an hour of calling Ron he came to evaluate the situation and give me a quote. He took time to explain what would be done and I really like the fact that his crew would be able to fix the line and would handle all the necessary permits and inspections.

The work was carried out quickly and his crew did an amazing job of keeping my landscaping intact. They carefully tied back all the bushes they could and removed what they needed to access the pipe. When the repair was complete they replanted everything and cleaned up the area beautifully.

Ron was professional and very friendly and I would totally recommend his plumbing and sewer repair services to anyone in a dire crunch as I was.

I called these guys because we had a sump pump & some drainage issues. It wasn't the biggest emergency, but they came out within 25 minutes! It turns out that we had a lot of tree roots in the pipe to the sewer causing a blockage. They got it cleared out which ended up solving multiple problems. We had a slight disagreement on a particular charge, but they handled it very professionally and I ended up getting a discount on it. This is a very fair business, and you can tell that they really care about customer service. A rare characteristic when it comes to plumbing companies :) Thanks RON!!!

I've used these guys a couple of times for me and they always did a quick and good job. Ron Janis is AWESOME!!! Last Week during those heavy rains I had to call them at 3 am in the morning. The water from our toilet came up and covered our whole bathroom and hallways. They came by 6am in the morning and managed to make things much better. Pleased with their responsiveness and helpful attitude, I will call them agin in case of emergency.

Had a very on time and efficient service with Ron. I had roots preventing my drains from running efficiently. They got everything cleaned out quickly, explained the issue, possible long term solutions and cleaned up when they were done. The price was very fair and the service was excellent. I am more than pleased with my service!

Just wanted to say what great customer service I received!!!



I have needed various plumbing services over the years, and Private has consistently been great to deal with. Most recent was a nasty ejector pump failure. I spoke to them at 7 am and they were at my house by 8! I recommend them often in my real estate profession.
