      Sycamore Shoals Hospital, also known as SSH, is a 120-plus-bed, nonprofit health care facility that provides a variety of inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical solutions. The hospital operates a 24-hour emergency department and women's diagnostic and family birth centers. It serves the residents of Carter, Johnson, Sullivan and Unicoi counties in Tennessee, as well as several areas in North Carolina. Sycamore Shoals Hospital has a diagnostic imaging department that offers general radiography, CT scan, ultrasound, mammography, bone densitometry and magnetic resonance imaging services. In addition, the hospital s sleep disorders lab provides treatment solutions for adults and senior citizens. The hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission. It is a part of Mountain States Health Alliance.
