My mother, wife, brother and I attended Mother's Day brunch last year and it was an outstanding experience. Having such a great time we decided to have the whole family come this year my mother and wife’s parents, my sister in law and her husband, and my brother.



What a nightmare this year 2013 turned out to be. We had a 1:30 reservation only to walk in and find most of the food stations decimated. Especially the dessert table, it was a mess. We in, no lesser terms, had no wait service. As we were sat we had one round of water. We asked for champagne, half the table was filled, and we were told they would come back with more. 10 minutes went by and still nothing. As the plates started piling up on our table this was the first occasion where I had to get up and go get someone to take care of our table. Someone came and cleaned up for us. My mother asked for a hot tea, and my father in law a coffee, which we waited `1/2 hour for. The only reason why we eventually got it, was yet again I had to get up and find someone to come to the table and re-take the order. No one paid any attention to our table at all, I was in most sense of the term our waiter for the day. We could not get water refills, champagne, or a clean table unless I got up and asked for someone to come over. I re-iterate we came at 1:30 when half of the outer room was empty, so it cannot be blamed on being too busy. All in all I must have had to find wait staff 6-8 times. Most of the time they were just standing at the drink prep area talking to each other and paying no attention to anyone.



This year was an embarrassment to my wife and I, because we had spent so much time telling her family how they would be blown away by the food and service at Lake Isle. They were blown away but by the incompetence, and inattentiveness of the staff. Needless to say they were extremely disappointed and it ruined a good part of our mother’s day celebration.



I explained my distain to the hostess on my way out. Understood that the gratuity was included in the check, this is something we agreed to when making the reservation, but I absolutely felt sick paying any sort of gratuity to a staff that paid no attention to us. They deserved nothing less but $0 in my opinion. It was a disgusting experience, especially coming from a place like your club.



We expected more from your staff and the club, and were greatly let down.

A few weeks ago I was at a wedding here, it was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. My husband and I got there a little late and the cocktail hour had already begun. My husband loved the carved filet mignon, while I tried the pasta station. I wish the cocktail hour was 2 hours, everything was so delicious! Our entrees were also really good. The chef did a great job on the presentation, everything looked so professional. I can't decide whether the dessert or the cocktail hour was my favorite part. there were 5 tables full of more pastries and cakes than I'd ever seen. Each one was better than the last! I wish every wedding I went to was this amazing. I also loved the DJ, but i forgot what his name was!
