      General Info
      Innerspace Scuba Center has been in business for more than 15 years. Initially started and ran by local diver and marine historian Elmer Engman. Over the years, Elmer has shown many people the wonders of the under-water world through many college scuba classes for the University of Minesota-Duluth and the University of Wisconsin-Superior, Duluth Community Education, and Innerspace classes. With more classes offered than any other local dive store, Innerspace quickly became the leader in diving education in the Duluth, MN area. The current owner of Innerspace Scuba, Yan Saillard, began working for Innerspace around 1999. Seeking greater freedom to pursue other interests, Elmer sold the business to Yan in 2005. A seamless transition ensured that Innerspace remained at the forefront of the Duluth scuba community, and Innerspace continues to be involved with local interests like the Great Lakes Aquarium Beach Sweep, working with Boy Scouts of America troops to provide high quality and economical dive-training programs, providing discover-scuba experiences for kids through UMD's Summer Youth Camp, and more recently sponsoring a rowing team in the Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival. Why should you trust Innerspace with your diving needs? We have more instructional staff available than any dive center in the area. What this means to you is more options for dive class scheduling and more options for ( free ) guided fun dives. We've been told that we have the best selection of gear and accessories in town, so chances are we have that item you are looking for. If we don't we can order it for you.
