      Dubuque Periodontics has been performing periodontics services in the Dubuque and surrounding area since 2000. We are Iowa's first periodontist offering LANAP laser therapy. Dr. James Fili had been practicing dentistry since 1990. He started doing Periodontist in 2000. Dr. Fili is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, Iowa Dental Association, the Midwest Society of Periodontology, and the Iowa Society of Periodontology. Here are some services we provide: Scaling and Root Planing Pocket Reduction Surgery Osseous Surgery Bone Grafting and Guided Tissue Regeneration Ridge Augmentation Soft Tissue Grafting Crown Lengthening Dental Implants LANAP Laser Therapy With LANAP, there are no scalpels or sutures and healing time is greatly reduced. The patient feels little to no discomfort during and after the LANAP procedure, which could reduce the need for post-operative prescription medications. Recovery from LANAP surgery often takes less than a day rather than the two to four weeks required for traditional surgery; many patients are able to return to work soon afterwards.
