Provided by YP.comThe Highlanders isn't what I expected. It was new, fresh, a great experience for the town of Douglasville. The Scottish themed area was most enjoyable. The service was nice, and the waitress accommodated to all my orders and requests. I had tasted a plethera of appetizers( my family was VERY hungry), and especially liked the cheese shots, fried pickles, and green beans that were AMAZINGLY battered and fried. My father, an international gourmet chef, quoted these were definitly the best fried pickles he had ever tasted. That's saying something.
Then we were onto the entrees. The steak was well made, the chicken fingers literally "melting in my mouth", and best of all, Kyle Mac's Teryaki Burger was a culinary masterpiece everyone on this planet should be able to enjoy. The angus beef burger with the pineapple and teryaki sauce was just delectable. The fried Milky Way for dessert was also so amazing ( I suggest splitting it in two because it can really pack on the pounds!!). with great food , entourage, and reasonable pricing, don't wait to go to the Highlanders Tavern And Grill!

Provided by YP.comHighlanders Tavern and Grill is a welcome addition to the restaurant scene in Douglasville GA. There is a Scottish theme throughout the place and a few traditional Scottish selections on the menu. We had the Black and Tan beer battered onions rings with remoulade sauce as a starter and they were fantastic. I've never seen black and tan striped onion rings before. My husband had the ribeye steak which was cooked exactly as he requested. I had to have a taste because just the aroma was making my mouth water. The steak was seasoned perfection.
I had one of the dinner salads with romaine, goat cheese, walnuts and crasins. It too was awesome. The sheer size of my salad made it impossible to finish. So I took home half of it for lunch the next day. The dessert selection is unique. I wish I had left room to try a fried oreo.
The night we went there was a musician playing guitar and singing. He was really good. He sang a wide variety of songs. We could here him singing and the music was not too loud. I believe he will be performing several times in July. We will be sure to check the schedule and go back to hear him again.
In my opinion Highlanders Tavern and Grill had it all. Great quality food, awesome atmosphere, reasonable prices and entertainment. If you are in Douglasville go see for yourself.
