I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone, not even my enemies. I requested a shipping quote for my cargo from Miami, FL to West Africa. They gave me a quote of $6,055 using a 40ft container, but without an estimated time of arrival.



I contacted them several times regarding the ETA, but they were never straightforward. Lourdes Arucas of Expedited World Cargo told me via phone that it takes an average of 33 days. I had no problem with that. She asked me to send in payment, but Credit Cards or Debit Cards were not accepted (red flag). I sent the payment via wire transfer. As soon as they had possession of my cargo and payment, the story changed. Silvia Gratacos of Expedited World Cargo emailed me saying the ETA will be 45 days. I declined, and requested they refund my money and my cargo. They refused. Silvia said she can compensate me with $510 for the inconvenience. I declined. Next she says my cargo cannot be pulled out of the port. When I threatened to file a law suit, they decided to retrieve my cargo, refunding me only $3,535.



Ana Conlan who is supposedly the “Vice President” of Expedited World Cargo emailed me saying the only available freight times to West Africa are 34 days and 45 days. However, I contacted Double Ace Cargo (another freight forwarder in Miami, FL), and based on the size of my cargo, they recommended I use a 20ft container at the rate of $3,800 with a freight time of 29 days. My cargo was delivered to the destination in West Africa in 28 days for less.
