I took my husband to the ER on Christmas morning with severe pains. Upon arrival we notified the staff that we did not have insurance and that I needed to speak to someone about financial aid. To make a long story short, they found out he had a kidney stone and instead of sending him home with meds, they kept him overnight saying they would talk to the surgeon in the morning. The financial aid people do not work on Christmas so spoke with them the next day. They do not give assistance to people who do not have kids and out of the 5 people I talked to about needing help, none of them made mention of that. They sent him home with pain meds and flomax (which could have been done the day before). $20,000 bill for practically nothing! After Florida's mandatory 65% off for no insurance, we ended up with about a $7,000 bill. Insane! And he had to share a room with another patient for that price! As for the staff, the nurses would forget to bring him something over and over and really didn't seem to care. I will NEVER go back again!

Husband had bladder problems and urologist Dr. Jhaveri operated. Nurse Kathleen was so excited when surgery was successful she called doctor and he was ecstatic,too. She watched 31 GALLONS of fluid pass thru bladder for success in 24 hours. What a nurse! Even gave cell number to us on discharge.

Good set of Doctors. Fair time for tests.

They seem to care and they are knowledgeable. I felt cared for, but not pampered.
