The lobby is so nice and refreshing place at this building. I had a wonderful time touring the property and leased right away. I saw people throwing there trash on the floor as I was walking out. Such laziness around these days.

If your looking for a first class establishment then look no farther. We were shown the building by the manager Amy and she treated us like family the entire time. Such a professional experience. Amy introduces us to a few residents and Albert the maintenance man. I did check reviews before coming out. I looked hard to find anything that was a complaint by others. I found a wonderful apartment for my sister. I am truly confident she has found the apartment for her. I am so happy and would highly recommend Casa De Oro to my friends and family.

If you want to live at Caso de Oro Apts you will be taking chances with your life. There have been three fires, and people who are totally disabled living on every floor (there are 8 floors). These people will not be able to get out if there is another fire, since the elevators are shut down in the even of a fire. It's kinda strange, since nearly every person living on the 1st floor is ambilitory but people in wheelchairs, etc are on the upper floors. Also, when you move in, you are required to sign a form stating that there is "No Smoking" anywhere inside the building. Yet, there are no conquences if you do smoke in your apartment (management knows who smokes in their apartments). These people just don't care! HUD has done inspection after inspection and that place has never passed any of them. There is mold everywhere, the appliances are old and most don't work correctly. When a repair is made, it is not made properly. It is "rigged" to last just a little longer, before having to be rigged, again. The water pressure and air conditioning are also controlled, even though they are not suppose to be.

This is the most dangerous housing, in Corpus Christi. If you care about your friends and/or family...do whatever you need to do to keep them from moving to Caso de Oro Apts. Any day that building will go up in flames and alot of lives will be lost. The sad thing is........they are owned and run by a local church (Cathedral Of The Palms Church).

x tenant:
This complex should be inspected by the City of Corpus Christ there are lots of safety issues, the elevators are out weekly leaving those people in wheelchairs and non mobile, stuck in their apartment and in danger should they need emergency help, there is irregular maintenance people on site, management is not reliable or caring to the tenants needs, she lies and turn circumstances around when owners are at the apartments, owners should talk with tenants if they care about their investment, heating and air conditioning is constantly on the brink, one works and not the other. please check closely before renting there. talk with tenants
discouraged that I got stuck there so long

I love this place. The owner has pumped a lot of money into the building and hired a professional manager and maintenance man. The grounds look great and the new lobby makes you feel like you live in a nice hotel. There were a few disruptive people but they are gone and I feel safe living there. Don't pay attention to 5 year old reviews. This place isn't the same.

Building was sold in 09/2011. The new owner is really great. He's cleaning the place up. Repairs are getting made, the kids are gone and over the next two years he's going to clean the outside up. Office staff is very nice and you can tell they care.
