Since its start in 1992, First Book has distributed more than
45 million books to children in community-based programs such as Head Start and to library programs, housing projects and after-school initiatives.

Newspaper Association of America
In celebration of International Literacy Day, the Newspaper Association of America foundation issues an annual literacy tabloid in newspapers nationwide. It is full of engaging articles and activities about reading and literacy, all geared towards making reading the local newspaper a family affair.

Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Foundation
Storyline Online, a Web based SAG Foundation reading program, ensures that every child who has access to an Internet connection can be exposed to a story and related activities.
The Screen Actors Guild Foundation and Idearc Media are proud to bring you Storyline Online, an online streaming video program featuring SAG members reading quality children’s books aloud. Visit the kid-friendly virtual village at SuperPages.com's Enlighten Me. The village includes a Kids Camp, an eTrain Station, and a Phone Booth among other features. At the eTrain Station, kids can find out about top attractions, parks and historical landmarks in their town. With just a click on the Phone Booth, they can find a friend's phone number. At the Kids Camp, children can put their sleuthing skills to the test by solving the SuperThinkers Peetnik Mysteries. The site also includes articles for teachers and parents.
