      General Info
      Founded in 1987, SCI Engineered Materials is a manufacturer of high technetium superconducting and other ceramic powders. The company uses two processes to create its powders: solid state and sandia chemical prep. Its products also include several complimentary offerings, such as sputtering targets, levitators and single crystal substrates. In 1991, the company established a subdivision, Target Materials, to help supply the increasing demand of sputtering and laser ablation targets worldwide. TMI is a manufacturer of high performance thin film materials, providing an array of metals, ceramics and alloys for sputtering targets, evaporation sources and other physical vapor deposition materials. SCI Engineered Materials is housed in a 30,000-square-foot facility in Columbus, Ohio.
