Provided by YP.comI love the way that the City Mission puts across God's love of humankind. People are like boats in the water without a captain and a rudder to guide them. There are a lot of us who love the stability in knowing that God has not abandoned us. Having a religious base helps us feel at home and cared for. The lack of religion is why the world is in such a horrible state now. My only problem is that a woman at one of the shelters was rude and thoughtless (how did she get her job there?). I told her up front that I use an oxygen concentrator to help me sleep but it does make noise. Her response? She said they couldn't have anything there that would disturb the other people! Imagine that....however, I guess it was ok to have people SNORE; TALK IN THEIR SLEEP; and wake others up with their SCREAMING. This worker was thoughtless, not the whole system--Jesus loves us.
