I went to this spa for a brazillian bikini wax and a leg wax. This was a horrible experience. The waxer (and owner), couldnt find the spatula big enough for my leg waxing, so I had to come back the next day for it. This was my first waxing experience, and she was not friendly at all. The leg waxing was terrible. She missed all kinds of spots, and even charged me more than what she had advertised. I will not be going back there.

I went to Tracie's for a Brazillian wax. A bit exotic for Charleston but it feels so nice to be clean and smooth! Not this time. The waxer, also the owner, showed up twenty minutes late and was in a hurry to do the job. I should have known this was a mistake when she couldn't find any clean towels. In the process she burned my skin after I complained the wax was too hot. She told me it was the use of a metal spatula instead of wood. She did not have me pull my skin taunt. End result not only did I have first and second degree burns but also bruising and bleeding. Instead of being able to enjoy a smooth sensation I was afraid of touching the area due to the pain from the burns. If this is the best salon for this type of waxing, I'll get Nair instead.

I have tried many different salons in the area, mostly in the South Hills area. If the the stylist didn't ruin my hair, they were rude and opinionated. I decided to go outside the immediate area and try out Tracies's Beauty Cottage. I was very pleased with the results. I am getting married in August, and you can bet this is the best place to go for "star" treatment and style. There are not many stylists there, but they are the best I've seen.
