I joined Massage Envy because I had tendonitis in my shoulder and my Physical Therapist with Cleveland Clinic said massage therapy could help with the pain during my exercise treatments. I have also had some back problems off and on and massage therapy could help with that. My first massage was with a gal by the name of Kamry and was 60 minutes long. Without much input from me Kamry did a deep tissue massage that caused me to have enough pain that a week later I almost went to the emergency room. That is when I met Erin at Massage Envy and got into a conversation with her about my problem. She commented that was not good and should not have happened. After that conversation I switched to Erin and had several amazing (60 & 90 minute) massages with nothing but fantastic results. I would usually hurt for 24 hours and then I always felt amazingly great! Erin chose to leave for multiple reasons, but mostly for a much better opportunity. Keep in mind Massage Envy is a low priced massage parlor who make their money from the monthly membership fee and high volume, and in my opinion with very little regard for their employees. After Erin left one of the managers recommended I see Liz for my next appointment. I saw Liz for 60 minutes and got one of the worst massages I have ever had in my life. Lis’ pressure was so light that none of my pain problems went away. My membership doesn’t expire until December 2013 and if I can’t get it cancelled with a letter from my Rheumatologist at Cleveland Clinic, due to new and continuing medical conditions, I can assure you it will not be renewed for any reason in December. Regardless, it seems it will take two months to get cancelled, if Massage Envy chooses to do so. That leaves two more massages with people I don’t know………so keep checking back here as I will be posting updates as the massages occur and the therapists fail to perform to my past amazing standards and expectations set by Erin!
