      Located in Brooklyn, N.Y., PS 261 is an elementary magnet school that provides various learning opportunities for students that help in their social and emotional development. It provides a variety of education opportunities, including math games, Native American studies, acting and performing, clay sculpture, dance and computerized music. In addition, it offers various courses in journalism, photography, architecture, party planning, sewing and clothes designing, science and cooking. The school also provides poetry publishing and yoga classes. It also provides education in advanced art, and fine arts and self-portraiture. The school offers an after school program and various activities, such as cheerleading, basketball and chess club. Additionally, it offers health and nutrition programs for students. It also organizes various trips and events, and fundraising programs.
