      CHAMELEON RESTORATIONChameleon Restoration is a company designed specifically to offer serious clients the high-end service and quality they deserve. We are a husband and wife business, run by myself, Christopher Fennell, along with my wife and partner Ana Suarez-Fennell. Together we have almost fifteen years of combined experience in the paper and collectibles industry, perfecting many techniques for the restoration of posters and collectibles. We have restored works by Cappiello, Cassandre, Cheret, Hohlwein, Lautrec, Mucha and Parrish, among others. Hundreds of posters bearing our restoration have gone to auction at the very finest auction houses in New York City and Europe. We also specialize in rock poster and memorabilia restoration, working with many of the most serious collectors in the United States, on both coasts.Our restoration philosophy is one simple idea--that our work conforms to the highest standards of the restorative arts. This means using only the highest grades of acid free and reversible materials in our treatments. This means no quick-fix restorations with questionable materials. Most importantly, this means rock-solid structural work followed by aesthetically top-notch in-painting.All of our techniques are reversible and water-soluble. Our skills include archival paper bleaching; linen mounting; resurfacing paper; fixing tears, perforations and pinholes; removal of tape stains; general clean-up; reinforcing unmounted paper or cardboard pieces; replacement of missing paper on borders and interiors; fold-line restoration; and high-level in-painting of missing images and text. Restoration services cover everything from fifteen-minute triage to complete overhauling of trashed pieces.
