Hand and French caning Pressed caning-cane webbing or pressed cane is used to reseat chairs Fiber rush is a man-made twisted paper material that looks and is actually woven all around the seat in method that takes it to the middle of seat. Genuine rush -is a natural hand-twisted material with same of weaving used as fiber rush. Splint is obtained from native ash and hickory and from tropical palm trees. Shaker tape is made of 100% cotton webbing. It is used to weave chair seats, foot stools, and as straps for many tote style baskets.
