My mom spent 5 years in Shoreview. She was very happy there. It was due in part mostly to the wonderful Recreation Department led by Fran Brivic, her wonderful co-workers in Recreation, with special mention to the highly loved Michael Stover. Fran has always tried to provide the best entertainment for the residents because she truly cares for them and wants to make them happy. I didn't know all of the nursing staff but the years my mom was there she was blessed with very good CNA'S. I was more familiar with the night nurses. They all were wonderful and kind to her, especially Stephanie Bowen, Josephine, Rosie, Viola and Adrien, and our wonderful head nurse Margaret (4th. Floor). My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is because the food served to the residents is not very palatable. It could use great improvement. Also, recently the CNA nursing staff was cut from 4 persons to 3, and the night staff from 3 persons to 2, leaving the the poor CNA's swamped with extra work.
