First Church of the Brethren Child Development Center offers an early childhood instructional program, a registered kindergarten, and a latchkey program. The purpose of the Child Development Center is to provide childcare and education to children from six weeks through up to school age 13. We provide a safe and healthful environment giving our parents and children an ease of mind that the children are secure. The First Church of the Brethren sponsors the Child Development Center as part of its outreach ministry. The Center is a nonprofit organization which is supported by tuition fees, gifts and congregational funding. The Center is licensed and inspected annually by the Department of Public Welfare. The primary purpose of the Center is to provide developmentally appropriate care and education for children of parents who are employed outside the home or for children who are in need of a group environment for social development.
