This is the worst ISP I have ever had. We have their WAVmax service and the service advertises "fiber-like speeds" but doesn't provide what those speeds will be. The speeds range anywhere from 40 down to less than 1 down randomly throughout the day and the speeds typically hover around 3-5. Truly unacceptable when we pay $150 a month for a poor internet connection! We have replaced our router thinking it was the issue and have tried a long list of other things to no avail. The ping will skyrocket the second more than one person uses the connection making doing simple tasks online like simply checking an email take an eternity. Streaming videos works ok most of the time but watching any live streams is near impossible as the connection is so unstable the quality will drop to unwatchable resolutions or not work at all. Taking to people over online in voice or video chats is painfully difficult often randomly cutting out or being extremely laggy. Trying to video chat often causes communication to drop or be unusable. Uploading anything such as pictures tends to take a very long time and causes the internet for everyone else to be unusable until the upload is completed. Trying to play any sort of online game is a gamble if it will be playable or not as the ping could either be completely normal or exceeding ping times of what satellite would provide at a drop of a hat. I know people with LTE connections in their households that dont have Peak Internet get much more reliable service at a fraction of the cost. We had their fiber connection in Woodland Park and it was just as terrible causing us to drop them only after a week. We would switch to another provider where we live but it's like they have a monopoly here as they are the only provider that isn't a satellite. But right across the street, there is a much cheaper and more reliable DSL connection available but for whatever reason, only their phone service is available to us. We would gladly take Sattelite at this point but for jobs related to our household, we need the lowest latency possible to perform that job. So, for now, we are essentially stuck with them until a new service arrives.

Really really great experience! It was the best decision for me, thanks!
We have had Peak Internet for going on 4 years now. We've had a couple problems here and there with the service, but they've always been very helpful on the phone and been able to get the issues resolved fairly quickly. We also have their phone service and were having some intermittent problems with it for about 2 months lately, just occasionally it'd break up or drop a call. They did get the problem fixed. Surprisingly, they gave us a refund for those two months of less-than-perfect service, without us even having to ask. I was pretty amazed that a company would go out of their way to CREDIT a customer because the service wasn't perfect without us even asking!! We just upgraded to their 20Meg plan this month so we could get Netflix on our new TV for got for Christmas. They were running an offer for one month free if you upgrade. Pretty happy so far. We are thinking about cancelling our satellite TV service now and just using Netflix over the Internet. --Kirk Douglas
Our business just signed up a week or so ago and we are blown away!! We signed up for the 40M service and always get about 38-40M. A great bunch of local people to work with. We're happy!!

I had them when I lived there and they were great! Fast service and everyone seemed to care if I had a problem, and I rarely did! I hear they are in Colorado Springs now. Get them Springs you will be glad you did!
Company guarantees 1.5 download speeds, we were able to track and prove they were not providing the minimum guaranteed speed. Discovered they were either throttling the speeds back after the speed test or were data limiting their service. Have several speed logs showing speeds of 0.3 down and 0.1 up. When Peak was contacted they refused to acknowledge our numbers and refused to keep us as customers. Be very wary of doing business with this company, they do not honor their advertisements nor do they provide service after the fact. Had our material reviewed by other professionals, they confirm Peak is NOT providing the service they advertise. Other ISPs will lower speeds provide much better data transfer than Peak, be advised.

we just switched from yukon communications to peak internet and I must say--wow, what a difference!! no more random downtime, no more excuses for why they were down, and peak internet actually answers the telephone when we call!!

I had service from these folks when they first started, back in 2002--it was good back then. I just signed up again, got their "best effort" package this time for $25/mo. I just downloaded a service pack in a couple minutes, at about 9Mbps!! Not bad for $25/mo!!
