      Established in 1961, Winfield Good Samaritan Village is a nonprofit organization that offers short-term recovery, long-term residential and rehabilitative services to individuals. It provides subsidized housing and assisted living services to senior citizens. The organization operates a health care center that is certified by Medicare and Medicaid and offers individualized care, barber and interdenominational church services. Winfield Good Samaritan Village also maintains a special care unit for residents with Alzheimer s disease. It is a part of the Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society, which is a Christian social ministry organization that provides shelter and supportive services to senior citizens.
