I took my 3 1/2 year old to the dentist after she requested to go. After the appointment, Jennifer, a hygenist, told... (More) I took my 3 1/2 year old to the dentist after she requested to go. After the appointment, Jennifer, a hygenist, told me that my daughter was an amazing patient and had the best manners.However, she found 2 cavities that were to be filled separately due to being on both sides of her mouth. We went for the first appointment and she did well, she was a little teary eyed when she was finished,but she was fine after a little while. We took her for the second visit--it was AWFUL! I cannot tell you how sick I am about this experience. This time the dentist, Dr. Clay brought her to us when she was finished. Madison ran to me in tears and the dentist told me she had to tell me about my "daughter's behavior". Madison had a red bump mark on her upper forehead and her lower lip looked swollen. Dr. Clay said Madison tried to kick the hygenist so she put her in a time out chair and made her apologize to the hygenist. She also pointed out that because Madison was bad she only was allowed to pick ONE prize. Dr. Clay said she hadn't noticed her lip until just then, she said that the clamps that she used sometimes pinch and its hard for her to see when that happens. Did she think maybe that is why my daughter kicked? Something may have been hurting her and when you are working in her mouth and holding her hands down, how is she supposed to communicate? She is 3! I don't understand why someone didn't come out to get me in the waiting room? I do NOT tolerate bad behavior and I am with Madison practically 100% of the time..it is not like her to act out in this way. I cannot believe a PEDIATRIC dentist would treat any little one this way.If there was trouble someone should have come to get me!  (Hide)
