      Established in 1982, NOVA Healthcare Administrators is one of the largest self-funded services companies in New York. It customizes benefit plans for unions, municipalities and corporate employers throughout the United States. The company provides a range of services for medical, dental, vision and prescription benefit plans. NOVA Healthcare Administrators also offer flexible spending account administration and medical resource management services. NOVA Healthcare Administrators is wholly owned subsidiary of Independent Health, which is a health maintenance organization that offers Medicare advantage plans and reimbursement account administration services. It is a member of the National Society of Professional Benefits Administrators, New York State Chapter of Third Party Administrators, and American Association of Preferred Provider Organizations. The company owns and operates the Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) of medical and dental providers and has reciprocal arrangements with several medical and dental PPO Networks throughout the U.S. NOVA Healthcare Administrators additionally maintains an in-house medical resource management department that controls and manages medical claims.
