Towne East location-The tech Wynn was doing the first step to check my eye exam. It's been 4 years since I've done this, I just have readers and thought I would get my eyes checked. During the process she had me look into the lens and she shined a bright laser red light into my eyes focusing it in and out and then no warning she shot me a blast of air. I jumped and said what the fuck and gave her the look and all she could do is laugh and then had the nerve to say haven't you had this done before????!!!!! Then after she got done laughing wanted to do the other eye, I was so mad and came close to a heart attack that my nerves were explosive. Now my eye is not the same and has been scratched from the debris the air that was puffed into it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!! IT'S A JOKE AND THERE WAS NO APOLOGIES! THEY LOST MY BUSINESS PLUS MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS. DO NOT GO TO TOWNE EAST IN WICHITA KS.

This page is where Eye Associates of Wichita (East) https://www.eyeassociatesofwichita.com/ links to their reviews, so even though they claim to be independent from LensCrafters, clearly they aren't.

I went in to the location at Towne East today, and the visit was just awful. From the moment I went in to the moment I left, not a single person gave me their name. I was treated like a number and just rushed through.

I arrived 30m early because I was told I would have paperwork to do. When I was given my new patient paperwork, the first thing they wanted me to sign was the HIPPA release, saying I'd read their policy. They hadn't given me any to read yet, so I set it aside. I was the only one in the lobby, and I was early, so I was taking my time to read everything. At one point, one of the ladies behind the desk (they never identified themselves, otherwise I would use their names or titles) came around and snatched up the sheet I'd set aside and the first page that I'd filled out, saying "we can go ahead and do these to speed things up." I told her I hadn't signed the first yet . Long story shortened a bit, I was literally laughed at for asking to read the policy before signing, pointed to a posting on the wall to go read, laughed at for "staring at the wall," and the jokes continued until I finally spoke up and asked if they were seriously mocking me for reading what I was about to sign. That finally shut them up, but when my appointment was finished, and they handed me another form to sign regarding my responsibilities if my insurance didn't pay, the lady waiting for me started loudly tapping her pen while I read that page.

The nurse(?) who took me back for the initial tests kept complaining that my eyes weren't open wide enough, even though I told her repeatedly that that's just how my eyes are, and complained that my eyelashes were too long. The doc was nice and efficient, but more efficient than nice. I ended up going to Eyeglassworld to get my script filled.

Do not use Dr. Trishelle Barton she is very rude and talks to you like ur 5yrs old. Yes she is right I need to replace contacts more often but no need to degrade and be disrespectful over it. Then when checking script. (When saying 1 or 2) for which is easier to read I accidentally said that one. No kidding, her response was "I said, 1 or 2" in a rude way. No need to say that rudely. Then when getting contact trial she flug them on the table so hard they about slid off. Ugh. Then proceeded to tell me that wearing contacts is a privilege not a right and she doesn't have to allow me to wear them. OMG. Do not use here at all. I LOVE LOVE Dr. Carla here which is why I stay here but she wasn't available today.
