      Established in 1971, Hegira Programs is one of the leading behavioral health care organizations in Michigan. It provides a variety of mental health and substance abuse treatment services to individuals. Located in Westland, Mich., the organization s mental health and substance abuse emergency screening programs include a range of services that includes assessment and evaluation, referral to external resources, and short-term intensive intervention and follow-up. Its detoxification program includes the components of aftercare planning, laboratory testing, and individual and family treatment. The organization s residential program includes nutritional consultation, dual diagnosis and relapse prevention tracks, and individual, group and family therapies. Hegira Programs supports the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
