They advertise like they're giving a free carpet cleaning, but in actuality they're trying to sell you this Kirby vacuum, which is great but expensive. After I decided not to buy this product, the carpet cleaner (sales lady) proceeded to catch an attitude and leave a mess in my daughters bathroom. Please save yourself the trouble and ignore these people when they come to your door.

The sales girl did an outstanding job, was very personal, hard working and honest. She Cleaned almost everything I asked her to. Unfortunately I was not able to purchase the Kirby at this time, and she was understandable and did not push the product. I hope she gets her commission.

I just had the Kirby people leave my house. I have to say that they have done such an amazing job on my carpet. They got to know me on a personal level as well as I got to know them. They have families that they work so hard for. They treated me with the most up respect I have ever seen in my life, It was the best experience I have had with purchasing a New product from anybody!!! I can not wait to begin to use my new Kirby!!! It was so neat to see everything it does!! 5 stars hands down!!!!

These have been the most nice people I have ever met. I could only afford the vacuum and shampooer and I really wanted to go ahead and get extra bags. Since it was Christmas time they actually GAVE ne two more bags and two extra bottles of shampoo. I invited them and their Van to eat dinner and oh my they were soo wonderful. I wish I could adopt those sweet people. I never had so much fun in my life. Thank you so much for everything you all have done!! Happy new year. Hope that I run into them again. :)

I have worked with this company several years. I was new to South Carolina and needed to find work quickly. They provided fantastic training on all levels within the company and I have received 4 promotions within the company in just the first 3 years! As a mother of three and sole provider for my household having the opportunity to earn while I learn has been a lifesaver. I get to help wonderful customers solve problems and save money while earning a great living. Kirby is #1.

The nicest, hard working people i have ever met!!!

A lady came to my door offering to clean my carpet for FREE. She asked questions about my kids and how long I've lived in the neighborhood, which is quite frankly none of her business. Then proceeded to tell me that she is trying to win a trip to Cancun for her and her 2 year old daughter. She said if she cleaned 50 houses, then her boss was going to send her and her daughter to Cancun. Not once did she mention Kirby. She merely stated that she was going to clean the carpet in one room. I told her no thank you and she asked me twice when she could come back. I told her I wasn't interested and she left. Kirby might be a good company but this is shady business and clearly a misrepresentation of her actual intention, which was to sell me a vacuum.

Zero stars. Ridiculous. 8:45 p.m. and this guy at the door hands me a certificate for a free carpet shampoo in one room. Says my sister in law sent him by. I told him no thank you, He looks at me like I'm crazy. You want to do business? Show up at a reasonable time during the day. He was pretty upset that when I told him a second time that I wasn't interested. I'm a little smarter than my sister in law gives me credit for obviously. My first stop was the computer to look this business up. Lots and lots of negative reviews, same technique - night time, late. You might want to entertain a different business strategy. This one sure isn't going to work in many places.

This distributor is not a member of the Better Business Bureau and their sales tactics are not professional. They do not honor their contract. Do not do business with this distributor. The Kriby is an excellent product, but find someone else to purchase from. Ask yourself this, why would a reputable business travel from SC to NC to sale a vacuum? There are Kriby distributors in NC and they never knock at your door. Beware

These people showed up late at my door, asked me about my carpet, then said "Well if I could just see it," and proceeded toward me as if I were supposed to let them inside my home. I sent them on their way, and will mention this to the police. I don't want door-to-door salesmen in my neighborhood. My home is not your place of business, and it shouldn't be for anyone else.

I nice lady came to our home (NE Columbia) yesterday evening with a free one room shampoo coupon for the demo of Kirby. She did a great job, on the carpet cleaning demo and and convince us as the good qualities of Kirby system over others. We also agreed to her, but unfortunately based on the agreed price, she didn't have a new system on her hand at that time (except the system used for demo). As a sales agent, she is great asset for any company.

Best cleaning system ever!!!! The representatives were polite even though it took longer than they thought to get my rugs clean (turns out they were much dirtier then we'd originally thought) My rugs look beautiful and they even deep cleaned and allergen controlled some of my furniture! All this for free. All I had to do was promise to tell a few friends and family how great their product was which I had no problem doing. In fact, I loved it so much I went ahead and bought one!! And now I'm telling ya'll cause although the system is pricy, considering everything it does I know it will save me tons of money at the end of the day. Heck I'm already saving in allergy medicine and I've only had the system for a few months!! Thank you KIRBY lady!!

first of all, the representatives DO have a quota they must meet in order to get paid. Not A Scam!!!! Shame on whoever posts a review that the company is scamming folks. everyone needs to make a living and providing a totally free cleaning service as a way to market a product not only holds true to traditional advertising methods but is also a pretty tough gig. You don't have to buy anything or even consider buying anything to receive the free cleaning it's bad enough someone wants to be rude to a hardworking person for simply doing their job but to actually publicly shout out that they were trying to SCAM you just cause you weren't interested in the product!?! How dare you! I wonder what you do for a living and how you'd feel if someone went to your job and lied about you just cause they weren't interested in what your company offers?

we were victims of the "free carpet cleaning" offer as well. this is nothing more than an attempt to sell overpriced vacuums. I stopped the demonstration but the salesman couldn't leave because his partner had gone on to another house. They will tell you that they need to meet their "quota", but that is only a tactic to gain entry and begin the high pressure sales tactics. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!

This nice dressed black man came to my door insisting to come in,repeatedly told him no,still insisted on tomorrow, finally got him to leave, I googled them and found this, thank you all I called the sheriffs dept and they are on the search, they shortly just passed my home to search other streets.

Kirby is the best

I am a 45 yr old female and I have know about Kirby since I was little. It is the best, despite the negative reviews I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. I love my Kirby and all the attachments, no more going out to rent a shampooer when it has the attachments for it. So 2 thumbs up and I say keep up the good work.

I was not satisfied with this company. I cancelled my purchase within the first 24 hrs but found that my credit card had already been charged. I was told that they would not credit my account until the vaccuum had been picked up which they did not do till 5 days later.It has now been another 4 days and I still have not been credited.

I am amazed at the ignorance of these negative postings. We have an economy that is tanking, they have a 95 year old American owned and operated company that makes an incredible product right here in the states and your answer is for them to change the way they do business? You are obviously unemployed, or a Government worker (same as unemployed you simply get a check!) or beyond ignorant. Ha! Be grateful we still make something in the States that is First Class in Quality, Performance and Reliability. Cheers

A representative came by my dad's house and offered to clean his carpet for a very reasonable price. The salesman came back the next day to clean the carpet; he had failed to tell my dad that he was really in the business of selling vacuum cleaners. My dad, who is 72 years old and living on a very limited income, purchased the cleaner for $1600! Not only was the salesman misleading about why he was there, but he also took advantage of an older individual, who fell prey to a very convincing salesman. Yes, people must make a living but not at the expense of those who can't afford this ridiculously priced product. The next day, my dad sent notice that he wanted to return the cleaner; we'll see how smooth this goes over. The company only gives three days to return, which is also ridiculous.
