The food was very good, but I'm rating it 3 stars due to the amount of time it took to be seated and served as well as the fact that they do not have a changing table in the establishment (not in the woman or the men's bathroom). Keep in mind this is a family restaurant and they have very steady business as well as a high number of families with children that come in so this is the only negative. However if you like good food at a good price and a friendly environment, I would recommend Egg Yolk Cafe.

It seems to me this restaurant has gone why downhill. I live very close and have gone here many times, but have started to avoid. When the rest of West Chicago has started to fix up their buildings to look nice, you can see how rundown the exterior of the Sandpiper is. Just that wouldn't stop me from going, it's just disappointing. I don't think the inside is much better; everything is sticky and sloppy, including the food. They have the normal Greek style menu, with so many other restaurants offering the same, giving me no reason to return here. It's too bad, this was a place I grew up going to, but I think if they don't clean up their act (literally) they'll lose more business.

I LOVE SANDPIPER! the food is amazing! :) you can always count on it. The service is good, and the waitresses are very helpfull! The owners are very kind, and i love the mostacoli!!

Food is delicious - management & waitstaff are always friendly

The food is mediocre diner food; the service is pleasant but generally intrusive. After most visits I feel like opening a diner nearby because it would be easy to surpass their service and quality. But, I keep going back.
