It's all about how much they can bill your insurance. I wouldn't let them treat my dog. Don't waste your time. They must have taken the hypocritical oath. What a joke.

i.e., A local favorite, or highly recommended becauseI went to Dr. Moore with concerns in regards to what could be a serious medical condition. I presented my information and symptoms and explained that there is a family history of the condition in my family to the nurse because he was too busy to ask any pertinent questions or even review my chart. He walked in the room, asked me what happened, dismissed everything I said, and did not even examine me, He then prescribed allergy medications for something that didn't warrant them. I called back and tried explaining that allergies were not the cause and I needed more test to which I was told "you just have to let the meds kick in" Fast forward about a month and I found myself in the ER with what presented as a brain bleed. This Doctor is a joke. I have since gotten several tests and have had to go to several different doctors and specialists, all of whom look at me like he was crazy when I tell them the symptoms I told him about and the allergy meds he put me on. None of them could understand why he didn't even want to run any tests. Well, the answer is simple. He is a less than mediocre doctor at best. His bedside manner is terrible and he doesn't want to actually do his job and examine his patients. Steer clear of this guy if you want quality medical care.

New doctors are being added so the practice is growing but I must think it is because there is such a shortage of doctors in the north end of the county, not because the medical care is of high quality. The front office staff are neither courteous or especially helpful and the physicians are mediocre at best. For such young men, these doctors do not seem excited by or interested in medicine. If you can find an alternative I suggest you do so. I quietly moved my care to a practice in Asheville and am pleased with my new practice's professionalism and competence. Too bad for me as a Weaverville practice would have been much more convenient.

This is too bad, especially since I really disliked Weaverville Family Medicine. The place is a cattle call. So, I was going to try NBFM - mainly because there are not a million physicians seeing a billion patients. I appreciate that you felt that there was not an adequate diagnosis process, since this is what I felt that the WFM clinic was lacking - comprehensive examinations. Thanks, I'll try elsewhere.

I recently visited the good doctors at NBFM with a persistant cough, congestion and hip pain. Without compiling a history or doing a thorough examinaton the doctor determined that there was nothing they could do for me. I asked to be seen by another doctor and they refused. I then asked for my money back and was refused again. I left the office and went to a local urgent care the same day and was treated for a sinus infection, bronchitis and musscle strain. I received a certified letter from the good doctors saying that I was terminated from being treated due to patient/physician incompatibility. I would highly discourage anyone with symtoms of illness from visiting the good doctors as they are not interested providing treatment.
