1-18-18Our house was flooded during Hurricane Matthew in 2016. Besides replacing walls, floors, and flooring and a heating and air conditioning system, we had to replace our kitchen cabinets. After shopping around, we decided to use Kitchen and Bath Expo in Virginia Beach. It took us some time to finally decide on the cabinets and countertops we wanted. Star and Mary were very helpful and patient in answering our questions as we changed our minds from white to cherry and finally chocolate. Star came out herself to take measurements and make sure everything would fit properly. When it came time for the installation I was especially pleased that their crew was able to handle everything from the demolition and removal of the old damaged cabinets to the the installation of not only the new cabinets but also all of the kitchen appliances, and the installation of the new sink. Other companies I had spoken to said that I would need to hire my own plumber and electrician. This gets complicated when you are not sure of the order that these things need to be done. It is so much easier when one crew is able to take care of it all. Of all the workers I had in my home, I will say that the Kitchen and Bath expo install crew was one of the hardest working and most dedicated crew that I have ever seen. They didn't even break for lunch! They just kept working until they were done. And they did a wonderful job. I would recommend Kitchen and Bath Expo to anyone that has to replace kitchen cabinets and counter tops. I felt that their price was very fair, so much so that we were able to add an additional row of cabinets, in addition to what we originally had, for more store space. Thanks for all your help!

I SERIOUSLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE WHO DEMANDS QUALITY SERVICE. Initially the staffs gives the impression that know what they are doing however, they are capable of many mistakes that will cost you dearly. Their computer system is unreliable and their staff is unprofessional, impolite, and belligerent when confronted with irregularities and workmanship. They lack customer care once they have your money and literally refuse to correct any errors in design or installation with additional cost to the customer. Their installers are either not willing or unable to speak English, so communication during installation is impossible without contacting the main office for a translator. My experience was time consuming and at times caused me to step outside of my character when trying to resolve my issues. I spend several weeks working with the sale representative/designer planning my kitchen installation. When I finally went in to make a deposit on my installation, she again told me that the computer had crashed and that the invoice was not ready. I was both under and overcharged for items because of this issue. The installation of my cabinets was compromised because of several errors in planning. They were not noticeable on paper, but clearly evident once the cabinets were installed. The company refused to make any corrections without compensation. I had to report them to the Regional and district managers and finally the president of the company.

Constant mistakes, lack of skills, communication and knowledge throughout the project. New kitchen (for a townhouse) cost us almost $10k and we would expect professional installation in a timely manner (which was supposed to be 4 days, not 3 weeks!). First of all, workers prepared walls for the wrong size cabinets - 36' instead of 42' - thanks to my husband who have noticed it and pointed it out to them. Second, for some reason we end up paying extra for an electrician but it was supposed to be included in $1,400 demo and dry wall budget. Third, Angel, who was supposed to install cabinets did not show up two times during the week (we took off from work two times!) then, he promised to come on Sunday but did not show up again, so we were home all day waiting for him (without working kitchen). We tried to call him and to the store but no one answered. Next day Angel told us it was his daughter's graduation and he forget to tell us. After cabinets were finally installed, they did not cut wholes for electric plates (required by the code). Star Chen suggested to not worry about it, but since we were owed her second half she agreed to fix it. We took day off again, and workers removed cabinets and told us that Angel will need to come back and cut the wholes the next day.That day we paid them in full and took another day off, but Angel did not showed up. He said that he simply forgot about us. After calling all day to the store and trying to reach Star Chen, we finally got lucky by 4pm. She was rude on a phone and told us that she was not aware that he did not show up, bit will call him to come back and she also asked me to send her a picture of where electric plates were supposed to be(after we paid her over 2k for demo and electrician). After it was done, we were left with a trim peace which we were supposed to install ourselves (it was not even cut, just one long peace).

WE JUST FINISHED HAVING THE KITCHEN & BATH EXPO REPLACE OUR FLOOR TILING WITH PORCELIN TILING,RIP OUT AND REPLACE OUR KITCHEN & BATHROOM CABINETS AS WELL AS INSTALL GRANITE COUNTER TOPS. EACH AND EVERY MEMBER OF THE STAFF WERE EXCEPTIONALLY KNOWLEDEABLE,PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS FROM THE SHOWROOM STAFF TO THE WAREHOUSE PERSONNEL THROUGH THE INSTALLERS. STAR CHEN AND HER HUSBAND ARE TO BE COMMENDED FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING TEAM AND WE WILL NOT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND THEM TO OUR FRIENDS AND ASSOCIATES THANK YOU FOR A GREAT RENNOVATION EXPERIENCE !!!

Star Chen is simply a real professional. I needed a vanity granite countertop and she gave me a great price and it looks just awesome. I will be doing my other 3 bathrooms with her as well. Thanks for your honesty and professionalism.

Superb product and, more importantly, great after sale service. I strongly recommend this company for any of your kitchen upgrades. After three years, I am still able to call and get help with any problems we have. Song and Star are the best!!!

I have had my kitchen and 3 bathrooms remodeled, plus a total remodel of a duplex. Kitchen and Bath Expo does a superb job. The owners are honest, trustworthy and customer oriented. They are also very knowledgeable and do their very best to please customers.

I did a lot of shopping around before my husband and I made our choice to go with them. We were explained the whole process before hand. My husband didn't feel like it was going to be a rush job, like with some other places we've been. The young lady there was very helpful, friendly and my husband loved the fact that she was very knowledgeable about the granite. Being that our designer was our sells person, we really made a connection and she helped us make the right decisions. She called us throughout the process, and after the installers were finished (my husband ... sell throughout the Virginia Beach area that we are doing work to. We couldn't have been happier with Kitchen and Bath Expo on the Blvd. The ladies who helped me were so easy to work with. My designer did a great job and helped me make it work within my budget. There was an issues with my granite, but the installer disappeared, had a new piece cut, and was back to my home in a few hours and still had my kitchen finished in just 2 days! It looks amazing.

This is the second kitchen we have this business done for us. We are very please with the knowledge and professionalism of this place. Their Kitchen cabinets and granite counter top prices are reasonable. Their designer is easy to work with and is not offended when we suggest different layout than what they did. The installers clean up their own mess and finishes on timely manner. We would use them again if I have another project.

We ordered Uba Tuba countertop. The main reason I chose them was they included ogee style and 1/2 bullnose for backsplashes automatically, besides being a little cheaper. The nightmare started when they delivered the countertop, to my dismay & shock, they had this thick square backsplash instead of what I was told we'd get, the 1/2 bullnose. Twice I asked to be sure, they said yes, what was on display at their store. My husband refused it, stating that is not what we paid for, so they installed without backsplash. We were told new shipment would come in 2-3 weeks. After 4 weeks, never receiving a call, we had to call. Scheduled 2nd install, they showed up with what appeared to be Green Butterfly, although they claimed it was Uba Tuba. Did not match our countertop at all, so again we refused. After 2 months of initial install, & a lot of our time, we finally received the backsplash. It did have 1 big chip, but we were fed up & tired of it all! I do not recommend them, look elsewhere
