Taras and Wendy, the owners, are former high level competitors as well as incredible coaches. The other dance instructors are as good as they are passionate in what they do. Moreover, they are the nicest people and the atmosphere in the studio is always friendly, which helps a lot to get over inhibitions everyone has when it comes to dancing. The other students are always supportive and make you feel very comfortable whatever your skill and level are. The syllabus is very well done and consistent to help you improve without being frustrated. It is the same in all Arthur Murray studios which allows you to easily dance with other Arthur Murray students and instructors all across the country. After a couple of weeks at the studio, dancing became a very important part of our life and provided unexpected benefits. We could not have wished for a better place to learn it.

I don't have enough good words to say about the Arthur Murray studio at Virginia Beach! I have absolutely loved every minute I am there since I started going in April of this year and often lament that I can't spend more time there each week. The staff are always upbeat and friendly, often making you feel like part of their dance family. I have never laughed as much at myself and still felt good doing it as I have since dancing with this group. It has built my self-confidence and given me a passion as I strive to better my dance steps, but at the same time, I enjoy interacting with other people who have a similar interest. And the staff is great about helping you to get out of your shell and introduce and help you interact with your fellow dancers. They will never put you down, and are so patient and encouraging. I surprised my wife with a gift certificate for dance lessons for her birthday. When we finally went in our experience was great. Everyone was friendly and positive which made learning, like they said, easy and fun.

Instructor gave my husband too many steps to fast and made it less fun. Staff was nice but not willing to go out of their way to accommodate my busy schedule. Won't be going back but will try another studio.
