I refinanced my house with Steve Haynes at Aurora Financial because the rates and fees were more than competitive, and reviews seemed positive. Both of these aspects were borne out as my experience was extremely positive and as promised. Initial discussions, questions, and applications were handled via phone. After that, most communications were by email. The entire process (a refinance) was completed within 30 days from start to finish. (This compares with a nightmarish experience about 2 years earlier with BB&T--about 8 months with deteriorating terms and conditions all along the painful and frustrating process). Steve was very professional, detail-oriented, responsive, and available. Document signing was done at my house using a Notary. They have a very tight timeline and you, as the client, must have your documentation prepared and forwarded according to the required deadlines given--if so, you should have an excellent outcome.
