Finally after looking around I tell the employee that I'm looking for a complete living room set and I told her what I was looking for. Her response after looking me head to toe and giving a scowl was Well sir I'm not sure about your financial situation but there is a clearance section in the back and she walks off. I shrugged it off still getting nasty looks as I walk through the store. I find a few things I have questions about so I start trying to find an Art van associate to help me. Well whenever I try to approach somebody I get a nasty look and they run off before I can ask anything. Finally I find the original employee that sent me to the clearance section showed her what I liked and asked if they had something similar that was offered as a reclining sofa and love seat. Her helpful advice? Feel free to look around and walks off. So after looking around more still getting no help and nasty looks I told an employee that there was nothing of interest in the clearance section and told them what I was looking for and that I'm paying cash. Well now the attitudes change and the original employee shows up and after being told I plan to pay cash for what I plan to buy I'm finally getting helped and treated somewhat like a customer. I went Gardner white and Value city and it was a world of difference. I was greeted at the door each time, I got the help I needed without even one nasty look and I was not asked about my financial situation. Art van you lost a good customer and if this is how you treat your veterans and customers then don't plan on EVER getting my business in the future.
