(More) I have almost the same experience with these unscrupulous & incompetent jerks. I bought a Dodge Sprinter Van from them back in Aug. My biz partner paid for the van one day & we arranged to pick it up another day. I live 2 hours a way, called to tell them we were en route so we could have a quick pick up. We arrived to discover they lost the keys, so we wasted a day of work for nothing. They had to have it towed to the dealer to replace them, then towed to my home. They neglected to put the registration in the window, so 3-4 weeks later I called about our plates & told them we had no window reg. so they had to overnight it to my new biz address 4 hours away. Then, they told me they forgot to have it weighed for the DMV so I had to find a place & go have it weighed. I sent them the weigh form on 10/12. I have yet to receive my plates or reg. Now, for some reason, every time I call, they don't answer nor do they return any of my several messages! I have filed complaints with the DMV&BBB. (Hide)

I purchased a car from torrey pines auto sales almost two months ago. I was told by JOHN that he mailed my plates a... (More) I purchased a car from torrey pines auto sales almost two months ago. I was told by JOHN that he mailed my plates a month ago. I never got them! I called california department of motor vehicle and they said JOHN only picked up a registration card.....no plates. JOHN lied to me he never sent my plates and now he is screening my calls on both his cell phone and the company line...despite numerous messages. Not only did i have to pay outrageous license and registration fees but now I have to go down to the mva and do it myself. If they act like this regaurding something as simple as license plates...I don't even want to know what they would do if I had to use the warrenty I purchased from them. JOHN and everyone else at this company will act like your best friend......but they are used car salesmans......nothing more. (Hide)
