Terminix - Pest Control

I wouldnt know how a pest control service works for this company as the management itself i guess is in a dilemma of who to employ and who not to. (More) I wouldnt know how a pest control service works for this company as the management itself i guess is in a dilemma of who to employ and who not to. I havent had any bad experience about their services of pest control but i applied for a job in TERMINIX and had a terrible experience about their hiring process. It looked all nice in the begining with all shiny and glossy processes of tests and introduction of the company but later on based on the test result i was rejected which i dont think is the fact as i know i did do very well in the mathematical and analytical tests.... It could have been that i was the only Asian in the surrounding premisesamongst few others!!! you never know!!!  (Hide)

For rodent control, they charged me $500 to come and inspect the house to see how they were getting into the attic. The technician put some wire mesh around some stack pipes on the roof and set some rat traps in the shed. He said he'd stop by to check the traps and I never saw the guy again. Finally a friend and I figured out how the were getting in... By the air conditioner! It was so obvious, I cannot believe the technician didn't see it an fix it. $500 bucks wasted.  (Hide)

A gentleman came to inspect my home, and at first assumed incorrectly that we had bed bugs when we have fleas. After showing him one flea, he recommended a full years treatment. I explained that we didn't want to spend that much, and he assured me that if we signed the contact I could just call and change it to a single treatment. When I called to change it they postponed my treatment because they said I had to sign a new contract. When I protested I was told I could keep the original date only if I paid the higher rate.  (Hide)

Their services state gopher and squirrel control but when you call them they say they don't do that, false advertisement.

It took two differnent techs on five different visits before they were able to get rid of the ants in my house. Its been about a year, and the ants are back. They always came to spray the exterior when no one was home and we still had ants,... (More) It took two differnent techs on five different visits before they were able to get rid of the ants in my house. Its been about a year, and the ants are back. They always came to spray the exterior when no one was home and we still had ants, spiders, wasps and other pests. So I wonder if they really sprayed. Plus, the one time they came to spray the backyard when I was home, the guy left my back fence open and my dog escaped. NOT WORTH THE MONEY!  (Hide)

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER WITH A COMPANY IN CT.! Unethical & profit driven with no regard for customer concerns or time! I was on the Terminix Ultimate Protection Guarantee which is a total joke. Termite activity was found some time later and was told... (More) WORST EXPERIENCE EVER WITH A COMPANY IN CT.! Unethical & profit driven with no regard for customer concerns or time! I was on the Terminix Ultimate Protection Guarantee which is a total joke. Termite activity was found some time later and was told I would get a phone call from the service manager. 10 days and no call. I called 6 more times over 3 weeks and left 6 (polite) messages through 4 different regional offices to the so-called service manager and no return call. Only by chance did I catch him one day. He said that he could ?squeeze me in? the next day. A tech came out and we agreed that the entire length of slab should be treated but it would take 2-3 hours to complete so I would have to reschedule. I called to reschedule but once again I had to leave a message resulting in NO return phone calls after 3 more days. I therefore cancelled the contract and went with a local company that has not avoided me like this unethical spineless service manager did at Terminix.  (Hide)

DESERVES NO STARS!!!!!! The worst service of any company I have ever dealt with. They never show for SET appt. no call etc... then show up the next day, or a week later. They never show for SET appt. no call etc... then show up the next day, or a week later. The branch manager promises this will never happen again, until the next appt. and it continues again. When you call their corporate office, all they say is I' am so sorry!!!! SPARE YOURSELF THE GRIEF, YOU WILL SPEND HOURS COMPLAINING ON THE PHONE FOR NOTHING!  (Hide)

We have ants, spiders and silver fish at our home in Texas. Terminix came out and sprayed inside and outside and we still have the bugs. We called and they came out again and the technician was super nice ( hence the 1 star) and sprayed inside... (More) We have ants, spiders and silver fish at our home in Texas. Terminix came out and sprayed inside and outside and we still have the bugs. We called and they came out again and the technician was super nice ( hence the 1 star) and sprayed inside and outside again for us. It seems like I am seeing more bugs now than before we ever called terminix to spray. We have used Bifen from a local do it yourself bug place in the past and it seemed to work better than terminx and was less expensive by far! I am very unhappy with Terminix and do not recommend them to anyone. I wish I would have read the reviews before calling them and wasting my time and money.  (Hide)

You call for service and they tell you its too soon they cont come back even though you are infested with ants they were supposed to spray for. Then I had a termite contract that I was told if I get any damage new or old after I sign they would cover it then when it happened they said its too old and it was neglect on my part and I didn't even have the contract a year so they missed the damage and cost me more than necessary. They never respect their appointments. Be prepared to waste a whole day every time Terminix is scheduled to show up (every three months). I am giving up on them after 18 months; I need an exterminator who has at least a bit of regard for my time.
